#11 Picture Story - Cloudy but Pretty

Image
Isn't this stunning? Even my eyes agreed the first time they looked at it. Those rocks and chalets reallyaccentuated this shot. As a matter of fact, they are the culprits of why I wanted to give this a capture. It was cloudy and in fact it rained most of the time I was there, but that didn't take away the gorgeousness. I was actually on a vacation with the big family on my mom's side. We rarely get together and this trip was the first after Covid-19 restrictions in my country. The hotel stay was absolutely not something to be proud of as the hotel condition is quite bad. The maintenance obviously doesn't play much roles there.  I guess not too many people have visited the place and decided to stay, hence not so much money have been flowing which resulted in poor maintenance. Despite not having great preservation, picturesque spots are everywhere and the above shot is among the many. I was actually pretty amazed to realize that albeit beaches are not really my thing. E

#2 Song Moment : Always Almost by Rosie Darling

Image
She is probably the epitome of an angelic voice. Of course I'm no expert in describing nor judging how a great voice should sound like, but at least this is what I think of her voice. That one late afternoon, after performing Solat Asar at my office musolla, I conveniently used my Google Assistant to help me find the song I wanted to hear. At that particular time, it was 8 Letters by Why Don't We.  While my ears were enjoying every bit of the beat, I put my hijab on and secured it with pins wherever necessary. At the end of the song, one of my colleagues entered to perform her obligatory prayer as well.  As she gradually approaching to wearing her praying clothes, I double tapped on the phone screen and clicked the pause button to give her the solitary moment with the Creator. When she finished, we had a brief conversation as she was preparing to dress her head back on with the hijab. She left and I stayed in there for a while.  I reached for my phone again and tapped on the pl

#10 Picture Story : The Gelato Cabana

Can I just first utter how I miss traveling so much? Ah, I do! My country has been in lock downs on and off for over 1 year and a half now. We've been transcending the new highest cases number every day. The highest one was 20k-ish. Isn't that surprising?  It was for me, because I've never thought that my country would ever reach that humongous number of Covid-19 cases. That being said, we haven't had the chance to explore around the country let alone to fly out from here for a while now 😞 The reason why I wanted to say this " can I just first utter how I miss traveling so much? " line up there was because I took this photo when I was traveling in Pulau Langkawi. It's one of the renowned islands in Malaysia (where I live) that people visit very often.  As you can see here, there are two Westerners or maybe Europeans (I have no idea) were at this shop. I remember saying " It's okay ,  go ahead " to them because I wasn't sure of buying. It

#1 Song Moment : Build it Better by Aron Wright

Image
Do you ever fall in love with a soundtrack from a scene of a drama or a movie then you decided to find the song and play it on repeat? Well, I've had that kind of moment several times now and Build It Better by Aron Wright is one of it. It was played in Season 1 Episode 3 of The Good Doctor. At least that's where I stumbled upon it.  It was the scene where Dr. Shaun Murphy and Dr. Claire Browne just got back from a hospital to pick up a liver that meant to be transplanted into a patient but, he was moved to the bottom of the list because he lied about not taking any alcohols. Then the song started its journey from there 🎵 It's a slow dreamy song. Just like every song that I fell in love with from a drama or a movie, it'll take me right back to the scene whenever I listen to it. Such a precious indescribable feeling. Does that happen to you too? It's kind of spirit-lifting when you listen to the song. I'll picture myself in a moving car, going along the mounta

#9 Picture Story : Just Another Random Day

Image
I was just driving home from work and it was almost dawn. Just another random day . You know how sunsets can be very breath-taking right? That's how I saw it that day at that particular time. The traffic was rather slow-moving too. So I figured why don't I take an advantage of this moment while it is slow-pacing? I grabbed my phone that I placed on the seat right next to me, ran its camera and clicked a couple of few times. As you may know it, it is challenging to take photos while the car is moving and let alone if you're  driving it. I had to see the road through the lenses and it seemed as the car in front of me was still far away, but then when I removed the lenses from my sight it was actually quite close. For a minute I thought I might hit someone's car but thank God I didn't.  I had to alternately switched between my real eyes and the camera's eyes for a while to reach to the result that I desired. Well after struggling a little with life and death *exagg

#8 Picture Story : Children by the Beach

Image
So this is at Pantai Nelayan, Rompin, Johor. We had a 3D2N stay to attend my girl cousin's wedding on the groom side. Since we are all from Selangor, so of course we needed a place to stay and because Rompin is quite far away from where we live (by us I mean my family and the relatives ) Facing this view is the chalet where we stayed. There are couple of gazebos too by this beach where he had our dinner and barbecue that night, on the same day we arrived. This photo was captured on the second day during midday. We had our breakfast at the gazebo that morning and some karaoke session afterward. Then I saw these kids standing on the swing and my artsy eyes had seen this great photo coming with the beach and the stunning clouds as the background and not leaving it behind, the tree wigs. I knew I had to frame everything in.  As you know candid photos are always the best so I thought it was the right time to lock this view in my phone's lense and boom! there ya go. I can't be ha

#7 Picture Story : The Flower Wall

Image
Guess where this is! If you've been here you'll know. Yes you guessed it right. It's in Cameron Highland. The flower park. Actually this picture was taken in 2017. I saw the wall of flowers and asked a friend to take a shot of me holding one of the blooming purple cutie. It was only the color of the backpack that did not seem to catch my eyes real strong. On the whole, I love this capture. The different tones of the color of the flowers is what liven the wall. On top of all, greens are always captivating to the eyes right. It lifts the entire photo to another level of mesmerizing shot. As usual, to take a great photo need several attempts before that as this wall is not even on the top edge. So I needed to move myself to the left and right a little bit to make sure the whole frame filled with the flowers. Luckily this friend of mine knows how to turn a photo into a wow shot. Hence, the result.
